Traffic is always interesting in the Southport-Oak Island area. They are closing one lane of traffic over Dutchman Creek between the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and River Mist from 8:30 pm to 5 am. We were out last night and went through the construction and it was not bad. Allow an extra five minutes and you should be fine. According to the DOT they will be done Friday. Thanks for doing the work before and after rush hour! Please be safe and keep an eye on the workers and their safety!!
